Terms of service
Last updated 14 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Throughline. They are written to be read rather than skimmed past, and the parts people usually get caught by — what happens when the trial ends, what a refund looks like, and the limits of what an AI answer is worth — are stated plainly rather than buried.
Who you are agreeing with
Throughline is operated by [company name not set] (“we”). By creating an account you accept these terms. If you are accepting them for a company, you are confirming you are allowed to bind it.
Your account
- You must give a real email address that you control, and confirm it. Accounts created with someone else’s address will be removed.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you invite to it. Roles let you limit what each of them can do — use them.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. Two-step verification is available in Settings and is the single most effective thing you can do here.
The trial
Every new business gets a 14-day trial of the full product. We do not ask for a card to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends — the account simply stops being able to open the app until a plan is chosen. There is no free tier.
Your data is not deleted when a trial lapses. Choose a plan and it is all still there.
Paying
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the plan you pick, and renew automatically until cancelled. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Prices are exclusive of VAT and any sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.
- If we change the price of a plan you are already on, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel instead.
- If a payment fails we will keep your access on for a short grace period and try again before anything is switched off.
Refunds: we do not offer them by default, because the trial exists precisely so you can find out first. If something went genuinely wrong — you were charged after cancelling, or the product was unusable for a stretch — write to support@analyzebusinessdata.com and we will sort it out. Statutory rights, where they apply to you, are unaffected by any of this.
What you may not do
- Connect an account you are not authorised to connect, or use the service to analyse data you have no right to.
- Resell or white-label the service except where your plan explicitly includes it.
- Attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or work around its plan limits.
- Use it for anything illegal, or to build a directly competing product from what you learn about how it works.
Who owns what
Your data stays yours. Connecting an account gives us permission to read it, store the figures described in the privacy policy, and process it to produce your briefings, answers and reports — and nothing else. We do not use it to train models, and we do not use it to serve any other customer.
The service itself — the software, the interface, the brand — stays ours. The output it generates about your business is yours to use however you like, including commercially.
What an answer is worth
This is the important one. Throughline produces analysis, using AI, from data it reads from other systems. It can be wrong. It can misread a pattern, inherit an error from an upstream service, or state something confidently that is not true.
It is a tool for thinking, not a source of financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Check anything you are about to make a real decision on — which is why every insight in the product shows the figures it was drawn from.
Availability
We aim to keep the service up and to sync your data daily, but we do not promise a specific uptime figure and there is no service level agreement attached to these terms. We depend on Stripe, Google and OpenAI, and when one of them is down, the part of the product that relies on it is down too.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Subject to that: the service is provided as it is, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from Settings, and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or that we are legally required to close — and other than in urgent cases we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
If we ever shut the service down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice, refund the unused part of anything prepaid, and give you a way to export your data.
Changes to these terms
We will email account holders at least 30 days before any material change. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of the period.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
